You already know the answer. We’re a whole thing.  We want what we want and we want it now.  When we can shop, hail a cab, and plan world travel in a few simple clicks; it’s no wonder we want a quick fix for everything.  Not to mention, they’ve been telling us for years we can have it all if only we just buy whatever their magic secret is. From blenders to hair products to real estate…isn’t that what they want us to believe? For four years our Revvers’ have shared stories with us about their past attempts at quick fixes.  From cleanses and detoxes to bars and shakes; from 21-day slim-downs to cucumber diets, we’ve heard it all. Not to mention, weigh-ins and measuring just work to deepen self-loathing and make us feel objectified.  Seriously…aren’t we more than the circumference of our upper arm? When it comes to the big stuff, the secret is that there is no secret. It’s human nature to think everyone else’s blessing were showered upon them without any effort.  From the outside looking in, the people who have it all seem to just - have it all. But hold up a second - we know better than this, right? Oprah, Steve Jobs, that guy at the bands who can crush aaallllll the Fighter Kicks, do we really think they were just chillin’ on their Playstation with a pizza pocket when one day badassery came knocking at their door? Hell no. We used to call our 8 Week Challenge the Revkor Shred.  Catchy, right?  Sounds super fitnessy; gives you visions of ripped abs and sweat.  Which is exactly why we evolved....

Inspiration: Amy Artherton Ingredients: 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup mashed) 1 cup organic peanut butter 3 whole eggs ½ cup shredded coconut (optional) ¼ cup almond bits (optional) 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract Frosting (optional): ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder ¼ cup agave 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp almond milk 1 tbsp organic peanut butter Directions Preheat oven to 350F lightly coat a 9”-square pan with nonstick coconut cooking spray or parchment paper Combine all of the ingredients in bowl and mix until smooth. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake the brownies at 350°F for 30 minutes.(The bake time may vary, so check for doneness using the toothpick test.) Cool completely in the pan, and let the brownies rest for at least 1 hour at room temperature before slicing into squares. To prepare the frosting, combine the cocoa powder, agave, vanilla, and milk in a small bowl, stirring until smooth. Spread on top of the cooled cake. Once you’ve been Revving for a while, you won’t need a scale or anything else to tell you how you look and feel.  If you’ve been Shredding with us, then you know that the results go far greater inches lost. No diet, detoxes, magic powders or pills.  Revkor is about working out like a warrior, eating clean to fuel your fitness, and living fully so that your healthy lifestyle can be maintained.  FOREVER. Revvers work out to stand taller, run faster, breathe easier, lift, press, sweat and crush like renegades.  Our fitness isn’t temporary.  We may have arrived to lose baby weight or fit into those old jeans, but we stay because we’ve become champions who want to keep on crushing. The secret recipe for success, and you happen to have it. In the early summer of 2015, Ange and I were about two days into one of our quarterly work retreats.  Sitting on the back deck of our of our Revver’s beach-side homes, we were in heaven!  Three days to dream HUGE without any limits.  Where could we take Revkor? It was on this Grand Bend trip that we developed the strategy to move our growing London-based company to a franchise.  We had lofty goals and were having a blast figuring out how to tackle them. Angela’s new partner Al joined us for dinner on our second night.  This was one of my first times meeting him, and I was excited to learn that Ange had connected with such a bright, driven entrepreneur.  We opened good wine and settled in for a fun night of start-up themed chats. Based on my work with so many business owners, Al wanted to know: what did I think the magic recipe was?  What made the difference between average and outstanding?  What did I see in Ange when we first met that set her apart?  My answer came to me instantly, and was inspired by every badass change-agent I know.  The magic? Mystery Revver Crushes the Bands!

From undercover to Shred Star! In Cambridge, we’ve always had a Facebook group where Revvers could share recipes, laughs, and support.  Some time ago, our Facebook group suddenly stepped up its humour game. A mystery Revver had us all in stitches with her dry humour and hilarious observations.  Who was this super-clever band groupie?  We had no idea…her Facebook photo was a cartoon and her profile seemed to contain zero pictures of her actual self.  After a week or two, our whole crew was wondering – who is she? Finally the mystery Revver posted that she’d forgotten an umbrella after class, which I held hostage until she claimed it from me personally.  To my surprise, Amanda came to the desk to claim it - a seriously quiet and unforgettable person I had seen come in and out of the studio without a word for months.  Over the last year, a lot has changed.  Maybe we’ll let Amanda tell you her version of the story first: “So, a year ago I was fat, sad, and lifting weights in my basement. I had no friends, rarely went out, and could not have been more depressed. I couldn’t even do a squat so I was failing pretty hard at the weightlifting.
