I told myself that 2015 would be my year to get out of the funk I had found myself living in.”   Meet Tiffany, one of two top winners from the 2015 Revkor Holiday Shred.  Before we tell you Tiffany’s story, we’ll let her hard work speak for itself: When we first met Tiffany, we knew something was up.  Always kind and reserved around the studio, she would hit the bands like a ferocious machine.  We weren’t surprised to eventually learn that she was a seriously accomplished athlete. “You would never know looking at my before picture that I’d been a competitive swimmer my entire life, competing at the national level as well as at an NCAA division 1 university in the USA. People often looked at me in disbelief when I told them my background, they could not believe I was an athlete. I was determined to change this.” When we think of Revkor #BallsAndSteam, this girl has it.  Determined to harness her academic potential, Tiffany hustled to become one of the nation’s most elite swimmers, earning her a scholarship at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In case the idea of going to school in Sin City conjures up ideas of all-night debauchery, you can guess again.  During her ten years in Vegas, Tiffany set hardcore goals for herself and crushed the hell out of them, one by one.  Over the decade she earned herself a double Masters in nursing and her MBA. Alright revNATION, we hear you loud and clear!  Some of you have a bad case of the PSBs, and who can blame you?  We’d be lying if we said that we aren’t also pining for the days of sticker boards and crazy Shred-season energy. Revkor Shred runs 8 weeks long for a reason: so that healthy habits become a lifestyle.  Hanging on to that lifestyle though isn’t easy, but guess what?  You’re tough stuff, and you can do it. If you think you’re the only one who’s fallen off the Shred-rails, guess again.  Does this sound familiar? The people who inspire and motivate us the most always have one thing in common: perseverance.  Why  do we have this misconception that some people get all the luck?  That some people’s roads are smoother and flow more easier because they were gifted with the talent good fortune to reach the loftiest of goals? Any accomplished artist will say - they do not roll out of bed every morning and paint a masterpiece.  They try and fail a zillion times before finding their flow.  Writers struggle for days, months, sometimes years, throwing away endless drafts before finally finding the voice of a story.  Think of elite athletes - how many time do they fall, lose, bleed before becoming a champion? What elevates people to extraordinary is resilience and focus.  We have to believe in our goals, see ourselves reaching them, and stop at nothing to get where we believe we deserve to go. Our Rebellion goals are no different. What motivates you to push through your challenge?  Most of us start with a focus on inches or pounds, or maybe the desire to fit into a goal outfit.  But doesn’t something else completely take over?
