The people who inspire and motivate us the most always have one thing in common: perseverance.  Why  do we have this misconception that some people get all the luck?  That some people’s roads are smoother and flow more easier because they were gifted with the talent good fortune to reach the loftiest of goals? Any accomplished artist will say - they do not roll out of bed every morning and paint a masterpiece.  They try and fail a zillion times before finding their flow.  Writers struggle for days, months, sometimes years, throwing away endless drafts before finally finding the voice of a story.  Think of elite athletes - how many time do they fall, lose, bleed before becoming a champion? What elevates people to extraordinary is resilience and focus.  We have to believe in our goals, see ourselves reaching them, and stop at nothing to get where we believe we deserve to go. We have the opportunity to learn a lot from our bodies and our plans, to gather new supports (or strengthen familiar ones…or both!), to see amazing progress, and to really allow our will to become stronger as we make strides toward reaching our goals. Without proper planning and implementation, even the most awesome, brilliantly put together plan is not going to do us much good. We have to be willing and able to put in the work, and we have to become organized enough to “plan for our plan.” Once we have “planned for our plan”, and once we put those plans into action, this is when the exciting stuff can start to happen; this is we can watch ourselves respond to a good plan. Erin Moraghan runs Revkor™ with her superstar partner Angela Rivard. She is a writer, Revkor™ instructor, yoga teacher, and business-builder. But who really cares? We’re here to talk about kale and muscles. Let’s do this! This is a Revkor™ body.  You can have one too. The photo in this post is of Angela Rivard, my business partner.  Pretty jacked, huh?  She’s not a fitness model, and certainly NOT photoshopped. She’s a real person just like us. A busy, driven, dynamic entrepreneur, small business owner, and single mom with all the demands and craziness as the rest of us.  And also like us, she loves herself a juicy burger, a big Cabernet, and a Friday night chocolate binge. So what makes her different? People ask her all the time: “Why do you look the way you do? What other workouts are you into?” We always have a good laugh about this.  If you know Ange, then you know she eats, sleeps and breathes Revkor™.  Sometimes we joke - what do people think? That she has a secret stash of weights in her back office?  That she wears a disguise to Crossfit to get ripped? I first met Angela just over a year after she started FLXyoga. Angela was strong, smart, and in fabulous shape, but things were about to rev up her awesome-factor…big-time. In early 2014 Angela developed her first FLXmix sequence.  I saw something completely transform in her.  YES, I saw a physical evolution but something else was evolving.  Angela had found her calling and the business hit its stride.  FLXyoga was already blowing people away, but Mix sequences were just what people’s bodies...
