You are in good company, revNATION is growing stronger every day!  We have people participating in this challenge coast to coast.  You are not alone…the whole idea is to do this TOGETHER and crush our goals, one day at a time!   Here’s a reminder of how it works: revNATION BLOG: Stay tuned to the revNATION blog for posts all week long!  You’ll find recipes, workout tips, motivation and more. SOCIAL MEDIA:  You’ll want to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get up-to-the-minute challenge news, videos, meal ideas and community posts!  Our team posts non-stop to keep you full of ideas and inspiration, and answer your questions online too!  Post your own recipes, tips and encourage your other Revvers using the hashtag #revkorshred! WORK OUT: We recommend getting to at least 3 revMIX-style classes weekly if you body-changing results are what you’re looking for.  Whichever classes you choose, you’ll be building lean muscle, losing fat, and getting stronger and more agile than ever.  Revkor is one of the most effective workouts there is!  Get to as many classes as you can…you’ll be well-fueled by GOOD FOOD, so you can give 100% when you show up for class. EAT CLEAN: Do your best to eat clean as often as possible!  Can you “cheat”?  YES!  There are no Shred Police! (yet, lol). The less you indulge in “unclean” foods the better your results will be, plain and simple.  It’s all in your hands. LIVE FULLY: Life is busy and full of demands. The goal of this challenge is to get us feeling better than ever, not stressed, guilty, or over-extended....

Stock your kitchen like a Rebel. The biggest secret to success is PREP.  Get your planning done and your pantry cleaned out!  Here are some of our favourite ways to make meal prep fun. Everyone’s body needs different food…there is no “one-size fits all” meal plan that really “works”.  Do your own research, note what foods make you feel amazing, and which don’t agree with you. We share what works for us. When it comes to food and diet trends, we choose to be fans of science and are always wary of the endless fear-based marketing messages.  Is it necessary to buy organic + hormone-free? Is there something really wrong with the favourite foods you’ve been eating for years? We think it’s all about balance and eating the best food you can, when you can. WHAT WILL I EAT? Every body needs different food. This is why the one-size-fits-all meal plans you may have received during fitness challenges before DID NOT WORK FOR YOU. You should not feel deprived, hungry or miserable about food, during challenge season. Rebel meals should be full of healthy, delicious food that you LOVE. Erin Moraghan runs Revkor™ with her superstar partner Angela Rivard. She is a writer, Revkor™ instructor, yoga teacher, and business-builder. But who really cares? We’re here to talk about kale and muscles. Let’s do this! This is a Revkor™ body.  You can have one too. The photo in this post is of Angela Rivard, my business partner.  Pretty jacked, huh?  She’s not a fitness model, and certainly NOT photoshopped. She’s a real person just like us. A busy, driven, dynamic entrepreneur, small business owner, and single mom with all the demands and craziness as the rest of us.  And also like us, she loves herself a juicy burger, a big Cabernet, and a Friday night chocolate binge. So what makes her different? People ask her all the time: “Why do you look the way you do? What other workouts are you into?” We always have a good laugh about this.  If you know Ange, then you know she eats, sleeps and breathes Revkor™.  Sometimes we joke - what do people think? That she has a secret stash of weights in her back office?  That she wears a disguise to Crossfit to get ripped? I first met Angela just over a year after she started FLXyoga. Angela was strong, smart, and in fabulous shape, but things were about to rev up her awesome-factor…big-time. In early 2014 Angela developed her first FLXmix sequence.  I saw something completely transform in her.  YES, I saw a physical evolution but something else was evolving.  Angela had found her calling and the business hit its stride.  FLXyoga was already blowing people away, but Mix sequences were just what people’s bodies...

Post-Rev Recovery Family Dinner

KEEP IT SIMPLE. That should be your Revkor™ Shred mantra.  Eating clean is not complicated, and you don’t need to put together elaborate meal plans to stay on track.  This super-simple post-workout meal is perfect for the whole family. Make it happen: In a sautee pan, add a tbsp of coconut oil over medium heat and sauté three sliced shallots and one clove of garlic.  Add a 1/2 cup of red wine, juice of half an orange and 1 tbsp of real maple syrup.  Reduce. Place 4 chicken breasts in a roasting pan and cover with the mixture.  Cover with foil and bake at 350…remove foil for last 10 minutes.  Serve when juices run clear with a side salad - we used fresh greens with shredded beets and carrots, cucumber and green onions.  Our simple go-to vinaigrette: equal parts EVOO, lemon juice and apple cider...
