REBELLION: The Reset

REBELLION: The Reset

There is always right now. Our Rebel truth as we launch our Week 5? Everyone who sets a goal will falter.  Those who succeed are those who accept stumbles as part of the process, and get back on their path no matter what. During our 8 week Rebellion, we launch into a huge effort toward positive change on so many levels: we’re working out with more focus and drive, we’re stepping up our clean eating goals, and we’re challenging ourselves to live a little larger than we ever have before. That doesn’t mean there aren’t small and big barriers standing in our way.  Whether it’s the people around us; our habits, fears and temptations; or simply super-busy schedules, Rebels realize that sticking to goals isn’t going to be easy. We’re working hard to implement that Grind Switch, but sometimes we need a total do-over. For Rebels, this is no problem.  Whatever happened yesterday, there is always right now to choose that Rebel path. Dig deep and take a do-over. You know that old saying, when the going gets tough, the tough get going?  When our 8 week challenge is on a high note and we’re feeling like a million bucks, it’s actually pretty easy to stay the course because we’re bolstered be a feeling of accomplishment, pride, and kicks energy from our workouts. Sure it takes work, but often times we get into The Zone and things just flow with more ease.  The really impressive - and game-changing - thing is to develop the tenacity persevere when times are tough. Here are our 8 favourite ways to get back on the horse: Live NOW:  Leave judgment...

Reset Button? Meet Grind Switch.

Reset Button? Meet The Grind Switch. If you’re a new Revver, you may not be familiar with the Revkor Reset.  Band veterans have been pressing the Reset button time and again - it’s been one of the key tools in our success tool box. Our philosophy has always been this: the only moment we can control is this one, right now.  Sometimes things go sideways and we fall off the rails: a mac and cheese binge, missing workouts, that single glass turns into 3… Getting down on ourselves does nothing in the name of our goals, so we press the handy Revkor Reset button.  We start fresh - getting back on the horse and going forward with brand new resolve.  Zero judgment, no self-loathing…these are dangerous responses that only sabotage everything awesome we’re striving for. In the name of the Rebellion however, we’re stepping the Reset up a notch.  Reset Button?  Meet THE GRIND SWITCH. There is a fine line between pressing The Reset and not trying.  Sounds harsh but hear us out because this is how champions are made, Rebels! Yes, it feels good to give ourselves a free pass, knowing that a Revkor Reset is right there when we need it.  Before we grab that free pass and run, can we challenge ourselves, one temptation at a time, to DIG DEEPER for some resolve?  Can we turn on THE GRIND SWITCH and really ask ourselves, do I need this? How will it make me feel?  Can I push a little harder? The rewards are so worth it! Before we splurge, miss workouts, or bail on a promise we’ve made...

RevLIFE Results

Have you ever met someone who makes you happy just by existing?  Meet the next winner from our Revkor™ Summer Shred!  Our very own Madeline is a grad from our January 2015 Certification program.  A natural teacher and motivator, this little spitfire kind of blows us away with her awesomeness. We chose Madeline as one of three RevLIFE winners not only because of her incredible Shred commitment, but also because of the rocking example she is to people in their early twenties.  Her commitment to living healthy and inspiring others to do the same is just one of many ways this being is a natural leader and inspiration. While Maddy was already in killer shape when the challenge started, you can’t deny how strong she looks now!  Congrats Madeline!  You are such an important part of revNATION and our London Market Studio! “My clean eating journey started with certification at the end of January. If I was promoting clean eating to our members I better practice what I preach. I wasn’t ignorant I was just lazy. For the shred I kicked it up tenfold; I wanted to challenge myself and really see what my body could do. It was hard to get into classes  because everyone was going hard core for this shred, so my results were going to be dependant on how I ate. From the beginning I knew this would be the hardest part for me. Clean eating is a big mental challenge. I became the household grocery shopper; I ate consistently throughout the day and I rarely left the house without multiple healthy snacks. This lifestyle is truly all about balance, I pressed the Revkor Reset a couple of times and still ended up with results I am super proud of. I came out of this...
